As Principal of the McCabe Companies, Mr. McCabe brings more than 45 years of diverse experience in business, strategic planning, public policy, business development, real estate development, commercial, utility and residential construction, preconstruction services, architectural design and design management, logistics and software development.
Prior to launching the McCabe Companies, Mr. McCabe was founding principal for one of the largest design-build industrial contractors in the country. The company teamed with major real estate developers to execute significant projects for nationally recognized clients such as Goodyear, Whirlpool, Marriott, Apple, and McGraw-Hill throughout the United States.
Mr. McCabe has held executive management roles at several of the largest commercial real estate and design/build general contracting companies in central Ohio. He has personal involvement in more than 300 constructed projects, totaling in excess of 36,000,000 square feet, with a total contract value in excess of $1 billion dollars. Numerous projects have exceeded 1,000,000 square feet and single project value has exceeded $200 million.
Project types have involved nearly every market segment including office, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, oil and gas processing and infrastructure, entertainment, institutional, retail, hospitality, recreation, multi and single-family housing, urban mixed use, food service, utility, transportation, medical, historic preservation, K-12 schools and higher educational. Projects have included large scale commercial, industrial, brownfield, historic preservation and mixed-use developments located throughout the United States.
Mr. McCabe studied architecture at The Ohio State University.
Mr. McCabe has fulfilled leadership roles on Industry and philanthropic boards and has been affiliated with numerous community organizations. He has been engaged in many charitable causes including fundraising and construction of the Buckeye Ranch Equestrian Therapy Center and the Flying Horse Farms Camp for seriously ill kids. Mr. McCabe is active in public policy advocacy issues related to historic preservation, economic development incentives, environmental issues, wages, utilities, developmental disabilities and immigration.

As Senior Vice President of the McCabe Companies, Mr. Poe brings more than 30 years of diverse experience in strategic planning, capital structuring and procurement, business development, real estate development and asset management.
Responsibilities include managing the financial underwriting, evaluation, and financing of the company’s and clients’ real estate developments. These duties require the sourcing, structuring and closing of first mortgage debt, mezzanine debt and equity / joint venture transactions. This also includes sourcing public infrastructure capital such as TIF financing, tax abatement, historic tax credits, new community authority and capital lease structuring.
Prior to the McCabe Companies, Mr. Poe was Vice President of Real Estate Group with Value Recovery Group, a Columbus, OH based asset manager and federal contractor. Responsibilities of managing and disposing of the firm’s principal real estate investments including a 150-acre brownfield redevelopment in Central Ohio, managing the US GSA contract for disposal of excess and surplus federal real property, and supporting public and private clients in financial and credit analysis.
Prior to Value Recovery Group, Mr. Poe spent 15 years in the structuring, procurement and management of capital for private and public sector real estate projects with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital, the commercial mortgage banking arm of BB&T (now Truist Financial Corp). Completed assignments totaling over $1.5 billion. Mr. Poe started his career with Crown NorthCorp, a rated special servicer, as an Asset Manager responsible for managing and disposing of over $600 million (book value) of sub and non-performing loans, bonds and real estate.
